This Summer's Love Song - Carnival by Skyler feat Mackenzie Bourg

(Los Angeles, CA) - July 25, 2017 - LA-based Singer-Songwriter, Skyler , premieres her single “Carnival,” via BreathHeavy .

Skyler partnered with 2016 American Idol Finalist, MacKenzie Bourg, to release this self-written, acoustic ballad. “Carnival” is the lead single from Skyler 's upcoming EP, which is being Exec. Produced by music veteran Randy Jackson. Responsible for the lead single is DK (Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez), the producer behind the Radio Mix of Lana Del Rey “Summertime Sadness.”

“As a child I'd always go to the carnival in my hometown and I loved seeing all the happy couples, with guys winning teddy bears for their girlfriends, giving them their jackets when they were cold, seeing them holding hands on the ferris wheel, etc. I couldn't wait to grow up and experience all of those things since I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic, which is the main inspiration behind “ Carnival ,”" Skyler tells BreatheHeavy .

AXS teased the release with a first listen, saying, “ The single is reflective, anthemic and the duo's harmonies and vocals blend well for a single that is an ode to unrequited love.”

A Los Angeles native, Skyler has family roots originating in Bournemouth, England. Holding a dual citizenship, she incorporates both American and European influences into her music. Opening for The Janoskians at the prestigious LA Cinco 4 Festival , Skyler has already established herself as a formidable teen music up-and-comer. Titled a “young flame” by Cliché Magazine , Skyler released her debut music video “Fire” in collaboration with the legendary Snoop Dogg. Following this attention-grabbing partnership, Just Jared Jr . , was quick to premiere Skyler’s second music video, the infectious party anthem “I Just Wanna Dance.”
